RISHA is pleased to announce our 2018 Conference to be held at Rhode Island College on March 24, 2018. An exciting line-up of presentations is planned. Joan Arsenault, CCC-SLP and Jane Musgrave OTL/R will be conducting a full-day session on Sensory Modulation theory and techniques and its role in calming, altering and grounding during dining and swallowing. Another full-day presentation will be conducted by Nerissa Hall, CCC-SLP and Hillary Jellison, CCC-SLP regarding the training of paraprofessionals and other communication partners of individuals using AAC. Donna Rizzo, CCC-SLP will be providing a morning presentation centered on a functional approach to working with children with hearing loss in a regular education setting. An afternoon session by Lesley Maxwell, CCC-SLP will focus on vocabulary instruction and strategies for the PK-5 population.
